Thru The Open Door

You leave your window open
wishing me to follow
though I wonder
which path thru the hollow.

My love, send me a note
where I might find you
or do you plead I follow
your heartbeats true.

Now, I hear you love
thru glade and over dale
to be with you once more
I shall not fail.

  5. I agree with Giovanni,,,sonnet-like. Takes me back to castles and maidens in towers longing to take the hand and follow the dream.
Beautiful words as always, well done !

  6. Lovely Cheryl! Am I being a bit dark here or is the person in the poem wanting to follow their lover to the afterlife?
