ReplyDeleteI must confess that I did not know the meaning of haiku and had to look it up. It is always fun to learn about something new. Winter nights are quiet aren't they- no late evening song birds or mating insects- just the sound of your feet as they crunch on the snow.

ReplyDeleteJennifer, that is exactly it! Nature is perfectly silent except when the ccccccold wind blows. I find haiku very relaxing, almost ooommmming to write.
