Halloweenie - Haiku

rustle of dried leaves
are heard this Octobers night,
yet the trees are bare

in twinkling twilight
movement in stagnant water,
life forms in shadow

maples skeleton
cast shadows in the garden,
stick leaves join the dance

lit carved pumpkins
cast an otherworldly glow,
flame extinguished

blood of ancestors
in the ole burying ground
still beat in my heart
